Ford and peta?

LOL, I was just wondering if it were true that Ford was supporting them. Not that I would get rid of my ford becuase of it.
I well imagine like most major corps, Ford rides the fence, or swings both ways just to cover the field and fill thier pockets. Oh well, in a better world. LOL

In the world of business you have to pay everyone. Politically you have to donate to both parties. (Bill Gates didn't pay either and look how hard they went after him. It is fairly quiet on that front. How much do you want to bet he is contributing to both parties now.) Larger corps have to pay people like Jesse Jackson and probably many others, just so they will leave them alone. If you recall Jesse started to get onto Toyota. They paid him money and he went away. No real changes in their policies. gotta love corporate shakedowns.

I would hope Ford is in the same boat with PETA (or hedging their bets)

My dad -- president of his local Humane Society-- good
PETA -- very bad

Ford and peta?

Here's something interesting I saw on the news I forget how long ago. At the time I didn't realize it was PETA but after reading this it must of been.

They were parading through the streets of some odd big city (new york or toronto cant remember) naked wearing signs and as said in this post throwing red paint on peoples fir coats. Now, the thing that irked the hell out of me was this:

1) the person(s) who got there coat ruined obviously have some great extent of money to buy clothes like that the 5% that dont...well I feel bad for those people when the cameras go off. No wait I dont. The other 95% that have the money will just go buy more coats...doesn't that bother them that they have just costed another "oh sacred animal" its life by forcing this person to go have another skinned?

2) They were parading in a big city I said. Oh yes you know the places, the ones where the only animals that can survive are alley cats and sewer rats. Those hippocrits probably live in some highrise apartment building. Do you think they live in a small rural home on a large portion of land (You know to help conserve one of the natural resourses that I think is very conservable...LAND) Oh wait..no they dont! They live in a world of concrete and ashphault.

Suffice it to say that I am not supportive of these people at all. We buy all our pets at the local humaine society the animals there are usually healthier then the ones at pet stores.

Now as far as the hunting issue goes, my uncle is Daniel Boone. Literally, anyway he has tons and tons of trophies and eats everything he catches (gave us some when he used to go alot hes getting older and doesn't go quite as much to the best of my knowledge) anyway I grew up with a single mom so needless to say she didn't go out and bring home and moose she hunted But, I worked at a farm auction before...and renovated a butcher shop...hit me a little hard when I was working at the butcher shop, never seen so many things cut up like that. After about a day of thinking about it it sunk in. How can I go order a hamburger at Harveys tonight if I think this bothers me? pshh posh. Needless to say I love hamburgers. And I got over it, I still dont know how to skin a buck but as soon as the chance arrises I will .

So I am all for joining the previously mentioned PETA - People Eating Tasty Animals

Talking Ford and peta?

I remember last year PETA came out with the ultimate proposal to release all domesticated animals so they could forage for themselves! Can you imagine the millions of chickens, cattle, pigs, goats, etc. just roaming the contryside? They'd starve and their rotting carcuses wiould become coyote food. How's a domesticated animal supposed to now how to survive? PETA is radical and often times nonsencical. John

Hey hows about we go to their next street rally and just give them a plain old country butt kickin. I guaruntee if one of those jerks threw paint on my coat he would be in the hospital for a while and I would most likely be in the slammer eating sos. Maybe I would get Judge Judy.

Hey I have never tried a paintball gun but have thought of mounting a couple on my truck so I could mark some of the less considerate motorists. How do you think one would work pointed foreward at 70mph?

Animals aren't for entertainment? Don't tell my crazy cat that! I'm not sure who enjoys it more: her doing crazy stuff, or me watching it!

Case in point, she is currently trying (and miserably failing) to walk across my computer room on a 3" wide shelf about a foot from the ceiling. THUMP! I'm waiting for her to either give up, or fall on my head.

Vierna is weird.

wow your cat moves? Mine used to. Now it only moves if it thinks its sneaking up on you on the table (we never really have sit down dinners anymore...everyone works odd times) but if I am eating cereal and I have the cereal box on the table, my cat (which weighs almost 20lbs) trys to "sneak" around the box using it as cover to get its head just around it and in my bowl. Rather comical I pretend I dont see him coming so I can laugh about it later. When he gets in close he tries a head down a rush sort of tactic.

Honestly its almost as hilarious as some of the other things he does.

If your sitting in "his" spot on the couch, in other words on the chair below where he sits on the top, he will "accidentally" hit you in the face with his tail till either 1) you move or in the event your me and dont mind bugging him once in a while 2) tuck his tail "accidentally" between the cushins and act like nothings up

ahahahaha he got pretty mad at me that time, tried moving it a few times till he turned around and gave me a dirty look a swat (no claws so more like a punch) and took off.

Oh and he will assault you ... walking down the hall minding your own business he comes by jumps smacks your leg and is gone before you know it.

He does move once in a while I guess even if its just to bug.

Oh, btw does this make me anti-annimal rights:

If my cat was an outside cat and there was another cat fighting my cat and I could intervene I'd drop the other cat before it could meow...dead in its tracks with my bare hands if I had to.

But I love cats, just not ones bent on hurting mine > Just like people I guess eh? Dont hurt me or my friends or I'll hurt you

I used to have a really cool black and white tomcat that lived in my garage. I found him as a half starved and bewildered adolesent in my alfalfa field. He used to sleep up on a shelf over my workbench and would jump down on my shoulders and ride around as I worked. He scared the crap out of a couple unsuspecting neighbors when he jumped down on them.
I now have another stray that moved in shortly after we bought this house. He is the coolest dude but just totally disgusting. He used up most of his lives teetering on the brink of death for the first 6 months he was here. His mouth and tongue are messed up and he has no front teeth so when he grooms himself he can't "comb" his hair and he looks like he moussed his hair. He came in with a huge gash about 3 inches long on his flank which took about a year to totally heal up, I think he had a tangle with a coyote. He sleeps in the garden shed and always comes to the porch whenever he hears me. He likes to set on a shelf there and will give me 5 when I ask him to. Well I'm sure this is a boring rant but I had to tell about "Handsome" the survivor.

Mostly true. While I haven't heard of any deaths that have resulted from attacks (and believe me, if there had been I'd have been all over it) they have sent several to the hospital in critical condition. They don't, however, go about these attacks as PETA. The ALF (Animal Liberation Front) does their smash and burn work and SHAC (Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty, that name is such a joke) does their beatings and bombings. These groups are all connected through monetary support (PETA has given the ALF LARGE amounts of money) and cross membership. Having these "separate" groups leaves PETA as a nonviolent innocent. For more info on these groups, their connections and crimes go here:

http://www.consumerfreedom.com/activistcash/

There you can check out the stats. Also get some info on the Humane Society of the United States. Check out this quote:

"[T]he Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is not affiliated with, nor is it a parent organization for, local humane societies, animal shelters, or animal care and control agencies … The HSUS does not operate or have direct control over any animal shelter."
— From a 2001 disclaimer issued by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS)

Support your local shelters! The HSUS does not deserve your support!!

I did a good sized research paper on terrorism in animal rights groups, I just love digin' into em! (if anyone would be interested in reading it, I'd be glad to put it up online)

______________

Oh! I almost forgot! You can also see a list of major donating corperations and where their mony goes on that site. And while Ford is on that list, they do not list PETA or any other radical environmentalist groups as a grantee. If PETA had recieved any money from them whatsoever, Consumerfreedom would be quick to point it out. (you can breath a little easier now )
