Schrader Valve leak

Last night I installed some pillar gauges on my truck and I installed a fuel pressure gauge, well I found out this morning that it leaks, I used the lower passenger side port and I was confident that I tightened it down a lot and I used gasoila too. Is there an easier way for me to tighten down that fitting to keep it from leaking?

I'm thinking that that's an ORB fitting and should have an O ring on it.

Remove the bowl and install then. Might as well get the fuel bowl rebuild kit since the parker sleeves will be compromised

Is it leaking past the O ring?

I know when I installed the horizontal fitting and sensor I had a hard time getting a wrench in there to tighten them down.

When I removed the fuel bowl to reseal it, I installed a 90 degree vertical fitting for the sensor and it was a much cleaner install.

I don't recall an o-ring, but I did use gasoila even though some others said it was not required because of the type of fitting it is. Chances are, you did not get it tight enough due to the limited space by the fitting and the sensor mounting location.

Got it on good this time without taking the fuel bowl off, just loosened the mounting bolts and tightened the **** out of the 90 degree fitting

Tighten the **** out of it yes sure lol the fuel bowl, front cover, hpop and other components are aluminum. My truck came with a leaky bowl thanks the previous owner dominating the threads like a silver back gorilla stripping threads in the fuel bowl in several places and to sweeten the deal stripped threads on the transmission pan. Of course some 100’s later fixed ALL my issues over 40k miles ago. also the Parker sleeves are one time use only. I have had clients tell me to reuse them to which I relply get a budget that can afford the cost parts and repairs or get another person to do the work besides me.

Well, there is some common sense that goes into hand torque techniques.

It looks like you purchased the 90 degree adapter for the fuel bowl. Due to the curvature of the fuel bowl, a small amount of metal needs to be ground off where the sending unit screws into the adapter so you can get it screwed into the bowl another turn.
The nut on the 90 degree fittings has to be tightened against the fuel bowl to squeeze the o-ring tightly against the bowl to make the seal. No thread sealant is needed on the ORB side of the adapter, just where the schrader valve or sending unit screws into the adatpter.

Now you tell him

Just giving you a hard time. I'm sure I'll be ordering something from you in the future. You get a lot of cred from me for coming here and posting the needed info.

You will probably also get a few questions from me once I actually have parts in hand.
