has anyone figured out how to disable the key dinger on these newer trucks ( mines a 14) . I can tell there's more going on than the old system where the key basically grounded a wire as the dinger keeps going even when holding the lock cylinder in your hand! I guess the next attempt may be to find the speaker or whatever makes the sound and try to unhook it? Jim
I used to leave my key in the ignition all day at work until I noticed. The IC cycles consistently. Now I take them out and leave my keys on the center console.
hadn't thought of that, it's not usually long term that I leave it in more like a few to 15 minutes while doing something near by and listening to radio ect.

About the only place I do it is at the gas station, when I'm right there by the door--it also helps, as it overrides the battery monitor, and keeps the audio going. When I'm working around the truck, I have a Fugoo Bluetooth speaker that I keep in the truck for playing music/audio books from my phone. I almost never listen to the AM/FM radio in the truck, though.
