Hey everyone. im new to this forum so bear with me lol. i just purchased a 2010 f250 with the 6.8 v10. was just wondering if anyone out there has a preference on any kind of exhaust system. on the the drive from the dealership it didnt take long to want to change the exhaust.. so what do people have on there trucks?? any info would be great.. thanks...
thanks for your input mike... i dont know anyone with a v10, so i can only rely on youtube. i know those dont always reflect on what real life sound is.. in your opinion why do they sound bad?
I have the Jones 3030xl, same as the Aero turbine. Jones used to be the contract manufacturer for Aeroturbine. The exhaust shop that put it on said it is the best muffler they have heard on the V10. Even the chebby guys that work with me reluctantly say is sounds good. It isn't that loud, very little to no drone. The sound comes on around 2000rpms and quiets back down around 26-2700 rpms. Anything out of that range and its almost like stock in the cab.

may be a dumb question. but did you just purchase the muffler and then had the shop install it as well as the plumbing? if so did they run 3"
The exhaust shop had the muffler and did the install. He did have to put a piece of pipe in to make up for the long stock muffler. He expanded all the joints before welding all the ends. He did an excellent job as I watched the entire install be done.
