On the V10 anything loud sounds terrible. That V10 just doesn't sound like a v8, and most loud exhaust or dual exhausts will make it worse. To get a good sound, I recommend our FullBlown 50 series. I have not personally heard a V10 with our muffler on it, but one of my customers told me it sounded really good.

V10s sound different...period. I have heard several V10s (vipers mainly and a few V10 Fords) with aftermarket exhaust and what seems to make the best sound is large diameter tubing. There is a guy in town with a V10 truck with exhaust and it definetly sounds different, but hey, at least it is unique. I am not a fan of chambered mufflers at all for flow, but they do usually have a great sound and deepen the exhaust note.

The V10 has a unique sound and if you don't like it keep on a very quiet exhaust or buy something with a V8.
Sound also depends on headers, cat, exhaust configuration and pipe size as well as the muffler.
I prefer a packed muffler whether SS wool or glass. I don't care for chambered mufflers.
I have pics in my gallery of my exhaust set-up.

There is a spot in rpm range on the V10 between 2200rpm to 2800rpm that does not sound the greatest no matter what muffler is used. However the sound deepens when under a good load or towing.
I've heard some V10's will Flowmasters already, wasn't too appealing to me but thats just me. I did however think the flowmaster 40 sounded better the 50.
One of the best sounding V10s I've heard was on Mudd Racing's site. It had set of Banks headers a high flow cat and a little dynomax race bullet single 3" exiting in front of the passenger tire, it sounds great to me but no doubt on the loud side.
If you want duals I would go with a 3"in/Dual 2 1/2"out muffler and split to the duals from there. You should get good sound and power from that set-up.
