I have just purchased a 2004 F250 with the V10. The first thing I am looking to upgrad is to put a custom cat back exhaust. I have always trusted in flowmaster but have heard that vortex is pretty good and that if I want to spend the money I could go with a borla exhaust. I want my truck to have that low, mean rumble sound. Which should I go with, or is there any other brand you all would recommend? Thanks for the help, Steeltown

 

Welcome to FTE steeltown. This post belongs in our dedicated exhaust forum. I am sure a moderator will be along to bump it over there. http://www.exhaustsoundclips.com/ford.html They have some V10 clips there for you to take a listen to. The one thing to be wary about is opening the exhaust on the V10 too much. I hear that the exhaust note can be rather annoying on those motors. The rumble will definately not sound like a V8 by the inherent qualities of a V10. I hope someone can give you some examples of what they are running on their 10's.
