Cool idea, but if done wrong great way to burn your truck down...Got a FIRE EXTINGUISHER in your truck? Always have a way to take the 12V battery power off the battery with a quickness. AKA pliers/dikes/adjustable wrench in the glove box? Stuck solenoid...
I bought a used 94 that had been used for deliveries and it had anti-theft in the headlight switch. You had to at least turn on the parking lights for the engine to crank. Then they could be turned off. Always got strange looks when I would drop it off for service.
One issue I see with a cigarette lighter as a switch is that lighters get loose and a loose connection is a short. I would think about a push button on/off switch on the bottom of the lighter socket. The push button switch will handle a load and the lighter would only be the means to push the button. This might work well until your driving down the road and someone wants a cigarette. Be sure with all your decisions. 77&79F250 has pictures that are very real.
Brake light switches can be mounted any number of places to make inexpensive kill switches so that you have to open the glove box or ash tray for the car to start, that sort of thing. Put in a new switch to flip between high and low beams, and use the dimmer switch as a kill switch. Put an array of double throw switches in, which can only be thrown in one pattern to allow juice to reach the starter. An inconspicuous momentary switch can be wired in so you have to push the button for juice to flow, conceal the switch above the parking break release. Only way I would use the cigarette lighter would be to mount a momentary switch in the back of the lighter shell and disconnect the lighter wiring. (but then you lose the lighter as a power source.) Really want security for a long term? Make a dummy coil wire by stripping the core from it...when you park (say at a long term parking) swap the dummy in - a thief may spot the lack of a coil wire but if he looks and sees all wiring apparently in place, he is less likely to try swapping.

And that is why you use the lighter to ground out the coil. Installed the Coil is grounded no start. Removed it starts.
My truck unfortunately has the cigarette lighter as a kill switch. And it has become downright dangerous! It works simple. Push it in and the truck starts, pull it out
and it dies. The inside was covered in scale and rust and I was having a starting issue. I pulled it out and lightly cleaned it real good. The problem now is if I hit a bump while
Driving it pops out and the truck stalls. I now won't drive it till its resolved. I am guessing that there has to be 2 wires somehow connected to it in the back of the lighter???
I am also guessing that by connecting then it will be resolved???? I don't care if the lighter ever works again.
Ok, the ignition should be wired so that the lighter has to be removed to run. However, mathewq4b will have to explain. I have never done this kind of circuit.
The more I think about it, I would prefer to isolate the circuit with a relay and dedicate a switch for the kill.

Disconnect the cig lighter power feed from the back of it. Run a wire from the neg side of the coil to the positive of the cig lighter (where you just pulled the wire from). When the lighter is pushed in it grounds the coil, With the coil grounded all the time the ground is not switched and the feild can not collapse hence no spark Pull the lighter out and the ignition module or points can switch the ground thus collapsing the feild and generating spark. This does disable the cig lighter if you want to use it as a charging port but you can just add a power point/port to the bottom under side of the dash and use the cig lighter feed to power that.
The positives are no voltage is carried in the wire to the cig lighter and you are not relying on the cig lighter to make the circuit for the for the ignition to work.
You can also ground the coil with a hidden switch with no fears of short circuits melted wires etc.
Most people try to cut the power to the ignition system when it is easier and safer to just ground the coil.
If you are running points grounding the coil also defeats hot wiring the coil, something power interrupting does not do.
To make it stealthy under hood use the same colour wire as is on the neg side of the coil , Points black, Dura Spark, green.
