Oil sender question

Can the oil pressure sender on my 390 be mounted horizontal from the filter housing or does it have to be vertical? Sender is for gauge in dash, not idiot light. Trying to create room for my Saginaw conversion. Thanks.

Yes you can and it will still work just fine. You will need a elbow and maybe a nipple fitting etc...so you can route it/clock the set up for the clearance you need.

I have never done it for clearance but all of my vehicles I get a t fitting and a nipple etc...so I can run the factory pressure gauge so the gauge in the dash works as well as having a mechanical gauge plummed in the set up as well.
