Cd rom question
I got the Ford service cd manual for my Ranger. Is it possible to set this up so I can use it without using the cd? I copied the whole thing to my c: drive but it will ask for the cd to be installed.

If there is a setup program on the CD, copy the entire CD to the folder of your choice, preferably using the DOS prompt, then back in windows, run the setup file, from that directory, ensuring that you name that directory as the place you are running the setup from. Sounds weird but it works - I have done that with a number of older programs. Never had to with newer ones, they usually give you option of copying all the data onto your hard drive.

Partition part of your hard drive to about 650 MB and to another drive letter, say X:, copy all the files over, set write only permission to an admin. account, then install from that X: drive.
