Excursion died while wife was driving, not cps?

Byron, I do plan to replace my oring, torque injectors and replace my glow plugs. But I want to figure out the no start problem before I do. This way if I roll an oring or something I know what it is....or isn't.
I picked up up the fittings and a guage this morning for the dead head test. Question is do I need to power the icp? I have read about a jumper for this and I'm not sure if that's something I need to do.

I dead head the hpop. It appears there are only 2 lines coming off the hpop. The gauge went to one port and a plug in the other. The gauge will briefly hit 2000. It really just barely bounces to 2000 and back down. I was expecting it to hold pressure for more than a half second. Anyone else get results like this?
Meanwhile I've learned about tie rod ends on the work truck.

It was 3 injectors with bad orings, but I can't get one injector seated.
So I was able to get the ex to fire on the drivers side only. I plugged the hpo line that ran to the pass side and it fired. So I knew I had bad orings on the pass side. Over the weekend I replaced all orings on 8 injectors. Sunday it fired and while on my victory lap I hit a deer. I stopped and the ex died. Got a tow home and tonight I repeated the previous test. It fired on the drivers side. So I pulled the ps vc. I think I have one injector not seated. Second to farthest back. Using a 12" straight edge I'm sure it's that one. Maybe a 32nd higher. Question is how do I get it seated? I used a 5/8 wrench on the others per diesel tech Ron. In the excursion there just isn't room at that injector.

Say if you were following this thread I got the ex fixed. The hpop was bad. There were other items too that were bad or getting weak. Thanks to everyone for suggestions and help. I couldn't have done it with out fte. This vehicle is an extra vehicle. A luxury if you will. I'm so thankful I didn't shell out thousands to get it fixed. We look forward to taking it to the lake this summer, taking it to ball games. And the occasional work it does.
thanks again fellas,
Barry
