Does anybody have any expirience with Dynamat - or any other sound dampening material? If so, what would you recommend? If you put it on, is the adhesive permanent or can it be removed? Would you ever want to remove it laer? i.e. years down the road for restoration/repaint etc? Thanks for any info!

Dynamat works great, but its pretty expensive if you want to do a large area. I'm assuming you want to get rid of rattles from a big bass producing sound system or just want a quieter interior.
I have 2 10" subs under my rear seat and unless I really turn it up, I don't have any rattles and I didn't use any dampening material. I suggest you check that your door panels are tight and that any extra wires inside your doors are zip-tied or taped down.
I've heard that you can use crumpled up newspaper inside door panels if you're really on a tight budget, but I wouldn't want to see that stuff get wet!
I've just been having problems with my door panels not being tight enough, The platic panel is rattling against the door when I go over bumps etc. - not with the bass. I have two 8's under my rear seat. I just need to quiet my doors for the bumps etc. I'm considering the dynamat door kit. We'll see... Hopefully I can get a tight fit so it'll quiet things down. Thanks for the imput.
Check the metal clips that hold down your door panels. If your panels have been removed a couple of times the clips might have been bent. Try opening up or tighting down the teeth on the clips so that they really grip the door surface. I don't think the Dynamat will help if your panels are already loose. If you have a plastic drop in bed liner that might make noise too. I used some double sided foam tape to keep the bed liner from rattling.
Hope that helps!
