you do have to cut part of the inner door liner away. This is the curved panel that surrounds the upper hinge. Here's a copy of an article on the one piece install from Street Rod Builder magazine and then some pics of my door.

I used a kit from Mid-50 F-100 midfifty.com

this isn't a particularly hard upgrade but it's tricky..

the piece you're holding is the lower window track.. yours doesn't appear to have a tab on it that would bolt to the outer door hinge ?? see pic below. That secures the track on mine.

Also I cut a larger hole in my inner door to have more access to make the cut in the inner liner, then replaced it leaving access to the hinge bolts

these are some more random shots and instruction pages that might help..

I think you can use straight glass... BUT it takes a lot more body work in the window opening to get it to track properly... the doors have a built in curve to them. I haven't seen the mechanism you pictured... sorry I can't help with that one.

I used the hole above the door handle for the upper mount of my window motor track.. from the latch end of the door to the center of that hole is 15".

My track is stationary and mounted in this upper hole and in a flat bar mounted across the door inspection cover opening

also I used bear claw latches and there was plenty of room for a latch... the window track mounts to the outside of the latch... see pics

was there a reason why you used bear claw door latches?

old latches were toast and parts missing..had to replace anyway and wanted something easy to use with solonoids to remove door handles

no outside handles... solonoids operated by remote. the actuators are mounted in the lower part of the door and pull the release on the bear claw latches
