I got a 1985 Ford F-150 as a donor truck and will soon be pulling the 302 out of it and prepping it to go into the ‘66 F100. My question is, will the steering column switch over as well? Does anyone know what other parts from the donor truck will I be able to use? I would also really like to switch rear ends as well.

1980 and later steering columns will not work on any 1979 or older truck.
The rear axle is wider, because in 1973, Ford increased the width of the inner frame rails behind the cab from 33 1/2" used 1957/72 to 37 1/2."
And, 1983 F100's and 1983/86 F150's were available with two different rear axles.
The 9" (1957/86) and the Ford 8.8" integral rear axle introduced in 1983.
In prepping for the 302, I have a question I’m sure someone here can answer. Is there a set of motor mounts I can buy that will allow me to simply drop the 302 into my ‘66? Or will I have to manufacture some?
Also, while prepping to pull the 240 I’ve noticed that there are multiple hole set positions for the motor mounts to mount to the frame. Are these different hole sets for larger engines? Will any of these work with the 302, or will I have to redrill to mount the motor mounts?
