I have a 91 ford f150 with a 5.0. Been trying to fix a stalling issue for a while now and every time I think it's fixed it starts having problems again. The only consistent thing is the code 14. We have replaced the distributor, tfi, coil, cap and rotor, and ignition switch. I have cleaned all the grounds i could get to under the hood and checked for power and good connection on all the ignition wiring. Please help I'm out of ideas.

Does that year engine have a crankshaft position sensor behind the harmonic balancer? If so that's the problem.

 

No. This year does not have the position sensor. That was one of the first thing I thought of. But thx.
