^^^^Jim, In my opinion, Ford styling in the 1950's was essentially infallible. They really owned the decade as far as I am concerned, especially on the truck styling front.
...But they messed one thing up: Panel truck taillights.
I have to agree with the comment on panel truck tail lights. They are very small--6V's too, so they are not very bright. When I was pulled over in Indiana for going too slow, the officer was sure that my brake lights weren't working. It was daylight, and he had to get his nose right up to the lens to see that I really did have lights.
I wonder if Solav will have trouble getting his panel truck registered with the stock tail lights?
Manual switch could reclassify them as work lights.
Mine will be hooked up to a manual switch on dash, and for the short time I had my truck running and those lights working, they were very handy work/dome lights.
