EGR delete info
Hey guys I got an 03 6.0. this spring I want to do an EGR delete but what I want to know is do I need a programmer first in order for the truck to run right after the delete? Or will I be fine running with out a programmer?

no programmer needed on an '03. Also depending on the current PCM flash the cooling fan may not work correctly unless you leave the actual EGR valve plugged in, I would do the delete and leave the valve itself in it's normal spot and leave plugged in, although some use the block off plate and then just lay the valve down on the manifold.

Well that is good news I'm eventually going to get a programmer but I was hoping I wasn't going to need one for this project. So i can use the block off plate just as long as the egr valve is plugged in does it have to rest on any particular spot on the block I think you said the manifold but if I recall I don't the pig tail is long enough to reach the exhaust manifold unless your refring to the intake manifold.
