Got it! Makes sense now. Thanks again. I am sure this will serve as a great reference point for mirrors in the future.

Reps sent your way sir!

Nice catch! So what you're saying is DON'T just beat it with a hammer? LOL

You have full power with the mirrors and have you tried the heat function yet?

I got mirrors from Twitchy's group buy a while back and they are great, but have a few buddies wanting them, too. With vibration and quality issues out there, I didn't know what to recommend. Now I do

Thanks! Reps

On a personal level, I don't plan to use the heat or the turn signals. I just wanted the larger mirror surface with the power adjusting option. With the reviews that the seller has, I don't anticipate any problems.

I am not going to hook up the heat, but I'm going to hook up the signal as the marker light.

What rpm range do you all see boost when unloaded? Going uphill, at WOT, I don't see any boost until about 2k RPMs. I know there's no boost leak now, as all my boots are brand new, and there is no soot on the firewall from the up pipes. I am getting 18 pounds now with the new boots, but I get nothing below 2k RPMs. Is that normal?

Are you seeing anything on the gauge when cruising at say 65 MPH? My boost will hover around 4-6 when cruising. If I get on it and run through the gears it will spike to ~32 PSI. When towing I can comfortably climb to ~28 PSI at 2800 RPM and hold it there as I ascend a grade.

As for unloaded, I will see it go up to near 20 at 2800 or so when just normal accelerating. I cannot remember where the boost is at near 2000 RPM, but if you are getting nothing, then there may be an issue. You should be getting something, I would guess around 5 at low RPM.

I get 4 pounds cruising at 65-70. I guess that's normal then! I'm going to inspect my compressor wheel real good when I put the new tubes on this week and see if there is any damage on the fins

I haven't properly hooked up the heat on my mirrors yet - they've been there maybe three years now - as my truck had fully manual mirrors OEM. I have a length of wire hanging out and I plug it into the cigarette lighter when I need it. One thing I've seen, if I keep the windows folded, they don't seem to ice up as much during the night when it snows.

I saw 22 pounds of boost on my way home at 90mph and WOT. Cruising at 70 I get 8, so I think I'm a little more where I should be this is with the Watergate disconnected though. It sure beats the 12 lbs I was maxing at before replacing the boots

I don't have a tuner or a boost fooler. I'd like a tuner, but I'm saving my pennies for the hydra

Smart idea, IMHO.

IIRC, about 22psi is all you'll get stock, as the PCM will defuel about that boost level.

You are right where you should be with no tuner, good work.
