Excellent! I have their engine repair manual, gearbox manual, charging manual and fuel system manual. These Ford books are a really great resource. They often explain how to fix and repair assemblies when the customer doesn't need or can't afford a whole new assembly, or a remanufactured exchange assembly. Labor cost was less a factor then, sort of like it is now out at my place.
The service states reproduction and the second one leaves some doubt but there is no way this could be this perfect if it was not a reproduction. Besides I think i paid like $14 & $19 so.
I need useable copies to have on the fender out on the side of the road some place.
This guy below is my second inspiration for this camper travel idea. I've known him for 30 odd years and this is how he has traveled all over. The bikes he has used range from a 1940's BMW250 to a modern 650 from about 1962 (Don't quote me). I know he has had fantastic experiences because of his choice of old machinery. Actually he looks far to well dressed here.
No he likes the winter months. He was down here once in Sept and wanted to see the Nevada deserts. Came back in Oct and headed home after. I have a picture someplace of his wheels completely coated in ice on his way up the Alaska Hwy.
Got the Fuel system one yesterday. This looks like it could be original. The Co. name has "Limited" under it and on the back it has "LITHO IN CANADA"
One more to come, about the trans and clutch.
Last one came today. I found my motor is a C1BA so it should be from 51 however I figure most of the service manual info will be similar.
This last one I think is original. Has the look and the old textured cover.
