Gentlemen [fellow forum members],

Please indulge me for a moment. I have learned that to sit back and say nothing is safer, but it gives the appearance that what is being observed is approved of.

This thread has taken a turn toward a negative outcome and we need to turn it back around, please.

FTE is a very helpful forum where all can come for assistance and sometimes help each other. Everyone has a right to their opinion and can share it respectfully, keeping in mind that this is a family friendly forum. I would urge all of us to be respectful in our responses. If someone offers their advice and it is not what we want or expect, just skip over it and look at what others have to offer.

As with any organization, there has to be a system of command. In the case of FTE, each forum has a Moderator. The Moderator has been selected due to his record of helping others and proven fairness. There are "rules", just a few, and they normally are not needed as long as each forum member treats each other with respect.

I have "known" AbandonedBronco for quite a few years and have witnessed his willingness to assist and share knowledge. He has a proven track record and rarely expresses that he is a Moderator, but he is and I am glad he handles situations as he does. In this case, he has tried to remind us of the need to respect each other's opinions and this seems to be challenged by at least one of us.

I would hope that we all can greet this new day with a kindred spirit and "start over". If not, I would suggest to AbandonedBronco that he lock this thread and give all of us time to think it over.

Thank you, gentlemen, and I hope you have a good day!

Dave, the OP has been given an "FTE vacation" because the scale is missing from his posts (upper right corner).
