Hey Joe,

i had had the same problem, I tried these guys first. Although they were not able to repair mine, they're CS was top notch.

Ford Powerstroke Diesel 7.3L PCM Repair & Return Ford Powerstoke PCM Repair https://www.ebay.com/i/322522020812

I then went to Module Experts out of FL. They did provide me with a working PCM BUT it wasn't as smooth or as quick as they implied. Chris talked a great game on the phone. I sent it in to them, I was told 7-10 business days, well, it turned into 6 weeks. The first one I received turned the engine over but the truck wouldn't start, I called Chris and was told I needed a new IDM. I told him BS! I put my original E99 PCM in and it started fine. It got sent back and 3 weeks later I got a PCM. I gave them the code of the pcm I wanted. Total cost was $700. Those are 2 options...

If I would do it again I would go to the Dealer and order exactly what I wanted. I was told by the Parts Manager at Ford around $800. There's another option let me see if I can find it for you. What year, auto or manual?

Wow, glad I saw this post. I was considering Module Experts since they claim to be "the" Ford PCM specialists.

Post Excursion PCM expert referral

I received this info from not less than 3 other people on this site and I spoke to Johnathan. He does know his stuff. He spends the time to educate the consumer and doesn't charge an arm and a leg for testing. He can also build a PCM from the ground up I'm told. As others advised me, don't waste your time with anyone or anything else, email Johnathan.
Diesel Technology of Chattanooga- Johnathan

Never mind, I just looked at the date. D'oh.

It's all good! We appreciate advice and sharing of experiences with vendors and shops. Even if the thread is a bit aged.

Good to hear your thoughts on DTC are in line with what others have reported.
