So i putting the truck back together and notice a large black bag looking thing in the fender while putting the S&B intake.. My questions is the opening in the fender ... is it doing anything to help??
Reason i ask is with the opening in the front grill I have a almost straight shot from the outside to the filter.. Seem to me when you are running down the road at like 35 plus MPH there is a lot of air pressure slamming in the intake box.. but with the fender well opening the air just flow out not creating pressure in the box forcing air through the filter into the turbo.
SO would it be blocked?? has there been test done to show the fender open is actually at a negative to the box most of the time vs a positive??
As you can see from the one picture that shinny thing is the band clamp on the filter ..
I pulled out a water hose with sprayer and started shooting.. got most of it off and heading to the self serve car wash with the hot water soap spray.. that got most of the stuff off.. whats a real PITA is this make it REAL fricken hard to find if i fixed oil leak.. and they **** can spit out 7.5 qts of oil in less than 5 seconds.. I get the award for stupid azz of the fricken day.. OMMGG..
