PCM
I have had problems with my truck missfireing as you may have read in other posts. I'm wondering if it might be My PCM since I have rulled out most other causes of the missfire. I've been told it may be a bad PCM. But have also been told by more then one Machanic that PCM don't just go out and a ford tech. said if it was not working it wouldn't be intermitent.
I have two questions.
1. Would having the PCM Flashed help even if it already has the latest Flash on it.
2. and if I have to replace the PCM There about $1500 from ford. Was looking on Orielys and Napa Auto Parts websites and can get Remanufactured one for less then $400 depending on which one I have. Was wondering Is the one from parts store going to work? and do you think once I get it installed that the ford service departmant would flash it for me?
