Frame dimensions

I am looking for some frame measurements for the newer style Ford Rangers (2000+ not twin I beam style) supercab 2wd. I have a 1947 ford truck that I want to put IFS under. I have already looked into F150's and explorer sport tracs (my WB is 122") and those are to wide. The older Rangers will work, but like I said, I do not want the I Beam suspension.
What I am looking for primarily is the frame width under the cab at its widest point. Not sure what other measurements I would need. Also how strong are these frames? Looking to put a Coyote in it as well. My last option is to do a Crown Vic bolt on IFS.

1998+ Ranger Frame Dimensions, SuperCab, 4X2:

Front Frame Width = 31.46"
Rear Frame Width = 32.83"
Frame Length = 190.95"

(The last year of the Ranger I-beam suspension was 1997).

Thanks. Do you happen to have the width at the cab? I know on the F150's and Explorers/Sport Trac the front and rear frames measure similar to the Rangers (around 33" I believe) yet at the cab the swell out to 44" outside to outside frame rail. Thats why I cant use them.

Or does the Ranger pretty much stay straight front to back like the older ones did?

I have a line on a 2006 with the SLA front end in it and would love to use that since its more like the double wishbone of a IFS. Its up for auction and that ends on 1/17/18

Sorry, I don't have anything like that....I'm just passing along what's available in the Ford Manual.

(Although you might be able to get what you need by using the numbers below and doing a little math).

Thanks, I was looking for something like this, but could not find it. Spent almost 3 days looking. Was at a junkyard today, but they did not have any newer Rangers at all. Looks like it is a pretty straight frame set up.

Glad to help.

It's always been in my head that the Explorer cabs were wider than the Rangers'...I think it goes back to when I removed some seats from a junkyard Explorer (a '97 IIRC) and swapped them into my Ranger... I noted at the time that things seemed tighter (laterally) in the Ranger than they were in the donor Explorer.

Yeah, not sure what I will be doing for seats now. I had hoped to use F150 seats with the integrated seatbelts. Don't think that's gonna happen. I knew my cab was on the smaller side. The existing bench in it is trapezoid shaped on the seat.
