There more you strip away, the more they look alike.
So if you try to cover up everything that makes them different..... they aren't different? You missed some stuff, like the tail lights, the fuel door, the frame, and the fact that one bed is several inches shorter
Look, I can do it to! Which one is a Ford and which is a Toyota?
I don't think there's a piece of body metal that looks remotely similar?
Really? Please break it down for me what is different in the picture besides a slight difference in the arch over the wheel wells. Front and back sure I'll give... from the side no. Most noticeable difference is the stance.
So what if Ford is once again using the same cab structure across the F-Series line? They did it for years before 1999 and no one said a word. They shared the same bed, interior components, some engines were common. Only the frames and suspensions were different.
C'mon children! Is this really all we have to argue about?
Doesn’t bother me what Ford does, I do find it amusing how bothered the Superduty guys are that their beloved Superduty is now the lil bigger slightly different looking twin brother to the F150. Outside of the actual grille and tailgate they are very similar.
I'm still wondering how the pricing will fall out. That will be one of the biggest keys to successful sales in my opinion. That said the Colorado is not priced much cheaper then a 1500 and they sell plenty of them around here.

The base price for a Colorado is like $21 grand and the pic they show on the Chevy web page is a Z71 which has a "price as equipped" of $41 grand, virtually double.
So it's a really WIDE swath of pricing. Dealers will likely not stock many stripped versions (just like you don't see F150XL's on dealer lots). It is certainly to the dealer's (and Ford's) advantage to sell loaded up trucks, and I admit I like the nice stuff too. After this recent Michigan winter, heated seats are now on my "must have" list...

I think stocked units will be very regional, due to our location and hub for the state my local dealers stock a lot of XL work trucks from 150s with roll up windows to f-550 chassis. I have a good feeling for the local companies that used to use exclusively base model 4x4 rangers they will flock to them. Some companies have moved up to 1/2 tons and others have kept their 2011 Rangers running past their typical fleet turnover.
It will be interesting for sure, I have no need for this truck but I'm starting to want one...just because. So if it maxes out at 40k for a loaded one it's still a hell of a lot better then 65k for a F150.

Agreed. It seems most, if not all, of the mid size trucks are priced in that range so I can't imagine Ford would do anything other than that.
To get one with 4x4 and half way decent amount of options would be in the $30,000 area I would assume.
