2002 Expedition Overhead Map Light
Hey guys, i got a stupid problem im dealing with. I recently noticed my overhead 3rd row vent control bulb went out. So i dropped the overhead console and replaced the bulb. However in doing soon the passenger side map light switch popped open and the spring shot out. I searched the truck all last weekend to no avail. All the other parts seem to be there, there's just no tension due to the lack of a spring. I'm a locksmith so i've been collecting various springs from old locks and even took some out of pens and was planning on taking the console down tomorrow and seeing if any work. Was curious if anybody has replaced them before or would know of a size. I thought about taking the other switch apart but don't want to touch it since it works well. Thanks.

I have replaced mine in the X before. Same overhead as the 97-02 Expys. Don't know the size, but they are tiny little things. The hole they fit into on the button is .18" or 4.5mm. I seen to remember the spring being 3/8 to 1/2 inch long.
