The biggest issue with the 292/352 swap?? is that the std transmission used on the 292 was the B/W T-86 W/or W/out the R-10OD.. While the 352 used the much heavier B/W T-85 With the R-11 OD. Two totally different and not interchangeable animals... If you were to create an adapter plate to use the T-86 with the 352? The first time you dumped/popped the clutch you would grenade the transmission.. as the T-86 was never designed to handle the HP nor the torque of the FE engine.... Also the B/W T-86 was set up to use a 9in or 10in clutch w/28spline plate/input shaft, while the T-85? used an 11in clutch w/11 spline plate/input shaft.....again totally incompatable... Thus? if you want to hang an OD trans off that 352?? You NEED to get a B/W T-85 the R-11 OD....

When I first ask about the rear crossmember on a 6 cylinder, said I was wanting to put a V8 in place of the 6, I meant a 351W and a c6 tranny.
