Six cylinder engine mounts.

I posted in the classifieds in need of engine mounts for installing a 300 into my 59 F100, (Originially suppose to have a 223cid eng)currently have a 64 292 cid in truck; seems that the preproduction companies only sell the pads & bushing type items; also didn't find any at the Supernationals vendors.
So if you got any for sale let me know.

Thanks;
Mitch

300 I-6's have Center Engine Mounts, not Front & Rears as the 223's do.

I'm looking for if possible the mounts/ brackets; I can purschase the insulator (Bushing) through after market companies; but finding the brackets for the front two sides and rear engine mount is challenging. I have the 8 cylinder mounts in the truck attach to a 1964 292cid engine, Im wanting this next winter to install a 1975 300cid 6 cylinder. I'm hoping thru this forum I will come across someone who's trying to upgarde to a v-8 from a 6 cylinder and are willing to sell or trade engine mounts.
I don't know if a 300 wont mount into a 59's frame; looks to me that I have two bolt holes on the front side of the engine block right behind the Harmonic balance / crank wheel location.

C.C.

I am currently in the process of installing a 300 I-6 & have already attempted or am attempting to take advantage of all options available to secure it into the Olde Girl.

Those front bolt holes are only for the Brackets that suppoert the Alt, P/S, A/C, etc. & so far have not proved deep enough to be used as Engine Mount Supports.

As I Stated previously, contact me via P.M. as I've the Complete Engine Mount Brackets for the 300 I-6 you are Looking for!

Hey Colonel;
I'm currently not smart enough to p.m. you; So I'll state my problems here;
I have the mounting brackets and pads from when I pulled the 300 out of my 65 F100; Iv'e seen a 64 with V-8 brackets welded into the side's of the frame; I was hoping to beable to find bracket to front mount my 300 into my 59F100. But I understand more clearly now; once you stated the front holes are for alt & p.s. etc.
Thanks for your patience & expertise.

dueller;
Seems the reproduction co's have only the bushing and bolts. Not the actual mounting bracket.
I would like to beable to install the six cylinder mount onto a 75 300cid engine; was told thats a no-go. I do have the orginial brackets from when I pulled the engine out of a 66 donor.

I assume there's a rear mount also; I have a v-8 mount currently in the truck; but would like to install a 300 for torque & towing with a 4speed.

If you use the front mount for the 300 like pictured above you will need to find a bellhousing with the rear mounts. I know the 65-66 F-350 trucks have the required mounts you need. They still used the 64 style frame.
