Yeah as long as you’re above 40 that’s ok but i saw you mentioned it was dropping below. I run 60-65psi with my efuel setup but it was not running right st all when it was dipping into the 30psi range as the filter clogged. No smoke though just no power. At 20psi it was missing on several cylinders.

Yeah it dipped below 40 if I laid into it more than just barely accelerating so I was taking off very slowly. But that was the first day I had my truck running in 3 weeks. I drove about 15-20 miles tops yesterday after having the fuel system open for so long, and the turbo seals had blown so a bunch of oil was sitting in my down pipe. So I blew a decent bit of blue smoke for awhile and still a tiny bit now. It was around 38 degrees at my house this morning when I started it. So I'm wondering if I have a slight fuel leak if that is causing the fuel pressure to be lower, and for my chip to cause it to chug like it is.

I think its more likely you may have an air intrusion issue on the suction side of that pump/bowl. Air will cause smoke, and it will cause pressure issues. It compresses, fuel does not.

I figured it's at least ok to drive for now until I have time this week to look into it some more. It drove even better today. Fuel preaaure is staying above 40 even at about 30-50% throttle so I'm fine for now. I was planning on buying the mark fugazzotto e fuel kit but then I bought a house so now I'm going through all that. So after I get settled in, I will be looking into doing that again.

This is what the gelled filter looked like. It was just like jelly.

But, when it warms up it should go back to liquid. I've gelled up many times and after the vehicle warms up it runs again. On a VW Rabbit I've used a fusee on the fuel filter and have put a heater under the fuel tank. If fuel would have stayed the way it looks on that filter I would have never got going again.

That’s what i thought. Maybe it didn’t because there was no fuel to disperse back into. It had shrunk a little but was still clumped together. Never became a liquid again.

That's what I meant by a load of crap at the gas station. It happens, that's why I carry fuel filters with me.
