I agree with Sous. Even if they aren't OEM o-rings I would think that they would last more than 16K miles. It could be a contributing factor but IMHO I think poor install would the be most likely culprit for a failure that quick and on so many. They have to hold back some decent pressure so they are a tight fit going in. You can't see your work so it can be easy to tear them if you aren't careful and patient. Plenty of oil to lube them up (especially a pre-install soak) is the tactic I used and things seemed to go well. Only time will tell though.

To me, that looks like they weren’t oiled before install causing the O ring to roll up. I had all 8 upper O rings fail right at the gap in the steel ring after 10k miles. Mine were installed in late 2013 and I was told by Tim at PIS that there was a bad run of Alliant O rings. There was a discussion about it over on PSA a while back.

Well it's up and running, see how it goes from here. Hopefully it fires right off in the morning. No noticeable difference in power. But runs out good

Well couple hundred miles today, trucks running great. Hard to believe how much smoother the idle is and the acceleration. I'm pleased with the results so far.

Really glad to hear it! I am guessing this O-Ring job will last the long haul. Feels good doesn't it?

I am, truckreally runs a lot better. Nice part is I did all the work with just a little over site from a friend of mine. This way I can do my excursion when I'm ready and not feel intimidated to tear into if. Really a quite simple job once you've done it. At least I thought anyway.

Great work and thanks for posting the results!

You don't read the 6.0 or 6.4 guys and gals posting this statement much, that is for sure.

Well it's been about 3000 miles since I did the injectors at the end of January and she's running like a champ. Amazing the difference in the way it runs especially cold. Cold starts are better. 2 second crank this morning at negative 3 and fired right off idling smooth as can be. Of coarse it should. Lol.
