Is there any way to get the the length of the shifter linkage cable because a friend head just went to the junkyard and grab the first one he's come to and what I've been told is there different links for the cables for that year of expedition because where the cable goes into THE plastic cover it slides in and out of is broke in 2 where it hooks up to the steering coloumn or is there any way to fix that please help losing all my hair over it

 

The only difference I would think is if it's off a 2WD or a 4WD.
