I have a Quikshifter unit installed in my truck. I was given a Megashifter by one of our members. I tried to install the shifter, but left the quikshifter shift cable in place. I hooked up the megashifter (cables look the same) but now it won't go into park? Are the cable different or are all B&M shifter cables universal. The part that screws to the shifter itself, to the part the eye rings connects appears to be a 1/2" shorter than than the quikshifter cable. Any suggestions? I'm running a C4 tranny.
The cables are universal. You will probably have to readjust the cable for the Megashifter, they probably have a different throw ratio. The replacment cables are the same for almost all of the B&M shifters.
LXMan- Thanks, I have the original cable with the Megashifter, I took the Quikshifter shifter out but left the shifter cable in because it looks the same and figured I could just connect it up and go. When I put the Megashifter on, it won't let me put it in Park and I'm not sure about the drive gears?. Maybe it's easier to just replace the whole cable that came with the shifter instead of fooling around adjusting the one in the truck. I was hoping to avoid having to crawl under the truck and disassemble everything. I like the look of the Megashifter much better than the quickshifter. Thanks again.
