Trustin - I’m guessing your trailer weights around 7,000lbs, so I bet that 6.0 will pull it with ease.
Somewhere in that territory - we're going to hit the scale on the way out to the coast if I remember. You can't notice the trailer behind ya, but I've got to get used to the temps in warm weather as I've yet to make a trip with this Ex yet. Towing across the flats on US2 between Monroe and Snohomish I was hitting low 230s ect/eot with the A/C on. From what I've read I'm in normal-ish territory with a big load on a warm day. My delta was only about 3-4 and I've got brand new ELC and the fan appears to work, and I run the monitor 100% of the time, so I'll see how it goes and if it starts to feel unnormal. Cools back down to the low 190s very quickly when I park and let it sit. Almost makes ya wonder if you should just turn the monitor off and watch the needles because they hardly budged from their normal spot on the dash, so I feel I'm likely over-concerned. Jeff thought those were the temps he hit with his 6.0 when he towed my bigger trailer home on a cool night from Tacoma, and I've yet to ask my dad-in-law what his 6.0 hits towing their 10K lb juggernaut.
Trustin - Yeah, Ford’s gauge is horrible...has been for years. I run a ScanGauge II for just that reason. I want to know as temps are climbing so I can adjust before things get too hot. I screamed my V10 over the mountain passes in hot summer heat with my 8,500lb Artic Fox years ago and I don’t think the temps got above 200 degrees. Hopefully your tow goes well this weekend. You’ve got the patience of a Saint if you’re traveling for this weekend.

Curious how this all goes ... I just had an MRI and doc visit last week with same procedure as an option, but doc thinks if can deal with the aches/pains might be good idea to wait 3 to 5 years based on the longevity of the replacement.
I was told another year and it’d be a waste to do it. Been problematic since I got outta the navy in 98, been putting it off for to long so now paying for it now, I’ve been off work for 2 months to get to here. Calling the VA next week to see about getting my disability increased, I’ll take more pension as tax free!!
I wish I woulda been smarter and did something sooner so my advice is get it done and don’t delay. My doctor says I should be good till well after I retire which is just 8 years so that’ll be good.
Oh My we are all getting old talking about our surgeries.
We are not old we are just experienced and willing to share these with everyone!
It’s like telling sea stories or meeting with the liars club for coffee at the Berry Patch here in Ocean Park. You do know the difference between a sea story and fairy tale, a fairy tale starts out “Once Upon A Time” and a sea story starts “This Is No S&#*”.
Morning Washington ya'll have fun with all, your medical issues.... I'm so old now it's like reading a health story of my life ! Hey guys, it DOES get better... it did for me anyway. BTW, I retired from the Navy in '75.... Whidbey Island was a great place. Really enjoyed my last 10 years in the Navy there !
