Hey, here in Seattle the weather is outstanding ! Reminded me of this song from the long ago series: Here Comes the Brides (1968 - 1970).. Probably too old for many to remember, but I do ... both the series and Bobby Sherman. Gawd yes, I am old.
I recall that show. I got a phone call today from a guy that wanted the front axle parts and I have been on the move all day.
I did get to sit down for one very excellent BBQed steak. No baked potatoes just too warm for a lot of hot food. But some nice macaroni salad.
Morning Sean, all Washington ! Have a great week out there.
I was at NAS Whidbey when that show ( Here Comes the Brides ) was on... . Got there late '66 and liked it so much I stayed till Sept '75. The bluest skies are in Seattle - - -
I'll try and remember to snap a photo of the stuff when I flush it out.
I think In am going to flush this a bit differently and just blow it all out
and start like I have a new system that has not fluid in it. That should
get the most nastiness out of it. Then I'll use the vacuum bleeder on it.
Well I took the return from the steering gear and cooler off after I had used an oil vacuum to remove most of the fluid from above the internal filter in the reservoir. The screen was not very dirty at all. What
I took out was a brown color and smelled almost like brake fluid,When I put the return line under vacuum and pulled fluid out that way after I got all out that I could I duped in some fresh and again pulled it out.
Cleaned up well when you take into account that fact I could not do the hydroboost lines that way. So after I got as much out as I could I hooked it all back up and it took 2 quarts to fill it with vacuum bleeding the system.
Took it out for a drive and no groans or growls from air in the system. I'll let it sit and cool over night and then top it off. I won't be installing the new parts until I flush it once more and this time get the hydroboost too.

OOPS I totally missed something you said. Mine turn to cook and was in a hurry trying to read and cook.
Your right it is very hard to make any plans. In the past we have made plans with people we know will show up
and just let everyone know what and when and if they show great but if they don't no big loss. That is the one thing
that I think hurts this and things like pro sports in this state. Too many other things to be doing around here.
