Almost wish I were back in the Evergreen State again...that is until I read about the floods and snow. The last couple of weeks here in the East has been quite brutal!

Not too much in the way of flooding where I live.
Sad night of Pierce County. We lost a Sheriff last night.
Home invasion gone very wrong. Things can be replaces
but lives can't. He left a Wife and 3 boys behind.
The Tacoma Dome.

When I lived in Oak Harbor I had many friends that lived in Sedro Wooley, Annacortes, Mt Vernon, and on up the Skaget River towards Concrete. In the spring The Skaget would flood many of the towns up that way and from what I've read lately it has been pretty rough for residents again.
When I retired from Navy in 1975 I was planned on buying in that area but got a job offer here I couldn't turn down and only decent job there was Boeing and Weyerhaeuser. After 20 years of Naval aircraft I didn't want that and my feet didn't fit onto tree limbs.....so I came back east. Not sorry I did either.
