Light comes on, but now it's intermittent as well. Probably is the switch itself.

I'm really tempted to grab a whole new pedal as well; even greased, it still pops as I depress it. I actually noticed the light was on, and then went out when it popped as I was depressing it.

What's even more interesting is that sometimes the parking brake pedal will depress fully and smoothly without ever sticking or popping.
I read about a plunger from pedal to the booster that can be adjusted. I think it applies to your truck also Josh but not sure. I think you have to remove the MC and the Booster to get to it but again not sure. You may want to look into that. ???? Sandy

Curious what the adjustment rod between the booster and master cylinder would have to do with the parking brake pedal popping when pressed. Maybe I’m not correctly reading his issue.

As I said, that is something he can look into. The popping is being caused by something and if he can't see anything that might be it. If I were him I wouldn't take the MC and booster off unless I was fairly sure it would help fix it. Just something for him to investigate the possibilities. Sandy

Yeah, I'm positive the light is an intermittent switch.

As for my pedal, it feels like something binding up in the pedal itself when you actuate it.
I've watched the cables going to the rear drums and they tighten up fine and evenly.

One thing I've noticed is that the popping builds up with each subsequent depression. In other words, after the big pop, the pedal will operate relatively smoothly, then begin to stick and pop incrementally with each subsequent use til the "big one" and then return to "normal".

I'm going to take a video so y'all can see what I'm on about when I get home.

That has nothing to do with the park brake, just when the brake pedal hits the master, and how hard.
mess with this, you could throw yourself through the windshield, or not stop at all in a panic

Ratchet teeth are worn out on your pedal assy. Replace it

I figured that was likely the case. The teeth I can see don't look bad, but all it takes is the profile of one or more teeth to be slightly worn for it not to play nicely.

Ironically enough, when I went out to make a video after coming back home, I couldn't replicate the issue! The pedal went smooth with minimal issues... Still going to replace it.
