parking brake/brake light?

hi. if my parking brake is on,should my brake light on the dashboard be on? if so where would the switch? be for the parking brake? my lamp/socket does work but i'm trying to make sure if there is a malfunction,that my brake light(dashboard)does come on. thanks!

ok. i think there is no connection to the parking brake to the parking light. how would i test to see if light will work?

There is no such thing as a Parking brake light on these trucks.

The light on the dash is a Brake FAILURE light.

It should "light up" for 3-5 seconds when you turn the key to start position.
