Crud... Singles. I went back and edited it.

The T500 was to fix an issue with ICP on the stockers... which wasn't the problem to begin with.

I remember parts of that conversation, where you talked about the era of "you need big oil" but then tuners started working on things, including long FIPW and stuff.

I went with 160/80 Single Shots for the same reason- not as much oil and more fuel with cooler EGTs and better performance options.

I've been running W-I-D-E FIPW for some time and not getting what I know she wants to give

Hopefully this gets me closer. Just bigger turbo and HD trans left after this...hopefully both are down the road...quite a few dollars from now

I always thought of the normal mods as supporting mods for going bigger, better, badder with injectors/turbos later.

Well I might as well make this my build thread. So thoughts between these (3) turbos.

Im leaning towards either of the t4 style because it comes with up pipes.
If I went that way how many of the "extra add ons" do I need to check

Option 1 https://www.iratediesel.com/irdie/pr...-complete-kit/

Does anybody have the specs between these two

Option 2 https://www.iratediesel.com/irdie/pr...dp-t4-s369sxe/

Option 3 Garrett GTP38R PowerMax Ball Bearing Turbo Ford 7.3L

Option 2 is what I was leaning towards.

and let the help commence

Also christmas came early for the ole truck. The Isspro gauges and Frx kit came in today.
Now I wont get so many shameful looks for not monitoring EGT's.

Power Ranch, send me a PM and lets talk. I will walk you through my trials and tribulations over the past 6 months. You are very close to success with option 1

Another option to consider is the KC38R 366. Just finished my build. Very happy with it. EGT's are definitely good towing heavy or in street performance. And they are available within a few days.

Just another option to consider.

When I ordered mine I told them it shows out of stock. Charlie mentioned they need to update that. But my order showed up in a couple of days.
But I am in AZ where they are located.

Are you saying they have them and are shipping them? A number of folks have been holding up on ordering because they are unavailable. When did you order yours?

I might even be convinced...very soon...

Man, now I have to seriously consider if Santa wants to do a turbo swap on my truck...

You won't be sorry. My buddy has the old 38r and it's LOUD. Even with an 6637 style filter it's so much quieter and spools up so quick.

My problem (hesitation) is that I am still on stock injectors and don't know how the KC38R will fit in the system. I have been told the Garrett 38R does just fine with stock injectors, so I believe the KC38R would do the same or better, but it is an expensive gamble, at least in my neck of the woods.

Definitely something to think about though.
