Blower Motor Question
The main issue I now have is the motor only operates at two speeds. I know the resistor is likely the issue, but I can't figure out where the resistor is. When pulling the blower out I notice that it doesn't seem to have the correct motor. When I look online at Rock Auto, the motor they show for my truck has a connector built into the motor housing. On my truck there is a pigtail (2 wires) coming off the motor to a connector. The connector matches the harness and it doesn't appear that there was any BS like switching or splicing the connector. It also wasn't one of the squareish Molex-type connectors that I've seen in pictures on other threads. But, there was nothing obviously changed on the wiring harness.
So it comes down to this. Do I have the correct motor? Where is the resistor? Is it still built into the motor?
After looking at a few more pics on Rock Auto, something is not adding up for me. It looks like the blower motor for the dealer installed AC has the pigtail wires on it. The question is, where is the resistor? However, when I plug in the Ford part number in Google, it takes me to the Rock Auto site and shows me the direct connect motor, not the pigtail. I don't want to waste time and money ordering the wrong motor. I understand the picture on Rock Auto could be wrong, but where is the resistor?
Heater Pigtail Connector
Motor Number - Looks right?!?!
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's starting to get colder here in Central Oregon.

So easy to find when I know where to look!
View looking downward and inboard. The blower motor (out of picture) is below the wiring harnesses in the lower left of the picture.
Thank you Conanski!

I guess I should post a final resolution on this thread.
I did finally figure out all of the details between help here (Conanski) and research. I eventually figured out that the pigtail is just a variant of the motor and that it doesn't need to be there.
As far as the resistor, all taken care of.
Unfortunately, driving the truck in this morning, the motor had pretty much given up the ghost. What was a minor bearing noise is now a full blown (forgive the pun) bearing failure. Luckily I ordered the motor and resistor yesterday and it should be here Monday or so.
Thanks again everyone for the help. Nice talking with cool, knowledgeable people!
