what trans do i have

hi can anyone tell me what trans this is the pan measures 13x 16 code on the door sticker reads trans and t, the truck is an 1993 flare side 302 4 wheel drive. vin 1FTEF14N4PKA22663 thank you for any help

i can get a 1995 e40d which
is what i thought the trans was

Trans code T is for an AOD. Is there a button on the end of the shift lever?

Do you have OD button on shifter? No. Then AOD. If it has the button, AODE.

Which one does it look like?

no button and i just counted 14 bolts

Any year 4x4 AOD will work but the later versions are better built, they can be found in trucks from about 1980 to 1996 but are increasingly rare in the later '90s trucks.

do i have to stay with an aod? would it have to be out of a truck and 4 wheel?

Nothing else is going to bolt in easily. Later model automatics are going to take electronics to run.

If you don't get it out of another 4x4, likely won't have the correct tailhousing for transfer case. Not sure how easily it is converted? Is the output shaft the same length? Just change tailhousing? Not familiar with it, but curious.

A 2wd trans can be converted to 4wd but the trans has to be fully dismantled to change the output shaft.. it is literally the first thing that goes in the case. But if you're going to do that you may as well just rebuild the one you have.
