Daily Slideshow: 2018 F-Series Super Duty Sets the Standard in Power

Ford trucks have been the segment leader for decades upon decades. Now with the 2018 the Super-Duty has done it again by claiming the title for the most powerful truck on the market. See what areas it excels in right here.

Thank you for this...but I have to say I like the way the 2017’s bodies look. Much better than the 2018’s.

I'd be seriously surprised...shocked actually.

There is no compelling motivation for Ford to update the old motors. Swapping heads is big money. Creating a separate tune is of dubious merit. 10 HP and torque is not likely noticeable in a blind seat-of-the -pants comparison.

Marketing/bragging rights. Not much more.

This^^

There's probably more sample variation from truck to truck than the 1-2% they bumped power. They're playing games with GM

Not to mention they're already limiting power in gears 1-3 so...
