December 2017 Chat Thread

December is here ready or not. Only a few more weeks till Christmas and another new year.

Made top tech again at work for the 4th straight month. I asked my boss for a raise this morning. We will see how far that goes.

It is a record, most was 2 in a row.
The Bulldogs win the SEC championship, that's outstanding!

Did some work around my yard today, I then went over and pressure washed the mom in-laws porch, hung curtain rods and fixed a leak on her dishwasher.

I am going to do a tune up on the suburban tomorrow and change the transmission fluid and filter. I decided to drive it down to my dads house next weekend since I am pulling the trailer.

No early start on stuff today, little man didn't sleep good so I am letting the wife sleep in.

We talked about going to Panama city beach in late June. The water will be warmer so little man can have a good time. I have been getting Disney World specials in my email. They are offering a 3 night, 2 days with the room, food and tickets for under 1200 dollars. I told the wife we may have to do a quick weekend trip next year to see the Mickey Christmas parade, the decorations and of course ride some rides!! I would like to try and talk my mom in-law into going since she has never been but we will see.

New plugs, new 02 Sensor and changed the transmission fluid and filter. The transmission was way past due from the look of the fluid. It makes me feel better since I am taking it to Florida next weekend.

I am starting out early Saturday and coming back Sunday. I only have 2 days of leave left and going to use them for the holidays. So far what she is giving me will only take about an hour or two to load.

I helped a guy with a 71 today. I has stopped to get a drink, sae 5he hood up. Walked over thinking it just died. No he had swaped to a serpentine belt setup ofbof a 5.0 Ho. The guy that did it had the belt running on itself. Had a tensioner and idler an 80 inch belt. Fortunatly he had a 76 inch belt. After about 45 minutes was able to get the shorter belt to work en9ugh for him to get home

Enjoy your leave and family over the holidays!! I play christmas music all day on my radio. I can't remember being home for the holidays 3 years in a row so it's extra special. You will get your truck one day, I know it sucks to wait.

Worked my butt off to get the transmission out of the 745C yesterday. The rebuild shop doesn't have a rebuilt one ready to go and the bad news is it could take up to 2 weeks to get one done. Jumping over to help my buddy finish up his. He spent all day yesterday replacing the main wiring harness.
