There is still snow on the ground from my house all the way to Austell, mainly in the shady areas now. Snow is cool for a day or two but that's about it for me, I like the little dusting we get most of the time. Decided to take Friday off and head down to Florida since there is a chance of rain on Sunday.
Howdy folks, we didn't get any snow in middle GA, but it sure is cold. This weather is making the truck hard to start and idle. I have to rev it at 1500 or the truck will die. This carb tuning is definitely a learning curve. Does anyone have any suggestions
I think my plugs at fouled because it's.running to rich and it will not get spark. The carb is less then a.year old. What adjustments should I make to keep it from.doing it again.

I am back home again. I sure do miss the central Florida weather in the winter time. The low was 67 and the high was 78. My step mom gave me a ton of stuff and pictures. Some of the coolest is my great great grandfathers pocket watch and the ring my father has worn for over 50 years.
She also gave me a 1962 Wheelhorse 552 lawn tractor that my father picked up from somewhere. After researching them online I have to say it seems to be 99% original and other than the carburetor being taken off and needing rebuilt it is pretty good shape. I will probibly never mow grass with it but it will be cool to get it running again.
I asked her about my grandfathers Allis-Chalmers tractor again. I didn't get a yes but I didn't get a flat out no either. She said the main problem is that it is apart getting powder coated. I told her I would pay my step brother for the powder coating and putting it back together. I guess we wait and see how it ends.
Alex,
It would replace the plugs, Once you get it running again first thing to check is the timing. Get a vacuum gauge and then adjust the needles by the gauge after it has warmed up. You can do it my ear but I prefer a gauge. If you need a starting point for the needles about 3 1/2 turns out should get it running. Then mess with the choke.
Glad you go back home. It great you got some stuff to pass down. Maybe you will get the tractor
I left dads house at 230 AM, stopped at a gas station in town and it would not read my debit card, read my credit card no problem. Smooth sailing on the highway with no issues. I needed to get gas again so the first place I stopped at the pump would not take my debit or credit card, kept saying declined. I went to the station next door. It read my debit card no problem so I starting filling up. All of a sudden it cut off at 6 dollars and when I re-scanned my card it said temporarily not accepting cards. The attendant reset the pump and I was finally able to get gas.
I will the wheelhorse running again and my son can ride around on it in the yard in a few years. It looks like a big tractor only a lot smaller.
I already found them and became a member. Told them what I had and they posted a ton of info on that model tractor for me to download. Working overtime all week since we have a company meeting on Friday morning and then they let us off the rest of the day.
