So heres the deal. i have a 93 F150 and im not getting a proper ground, These are the issues. First, when i have the headlights off and have the Left blinker light on the dash lights where the ac Panel lights flash also. Then i turn the head lights on the blinker (left) doesnt work. then after its been for a min it will stall out and refuses to start for a while almost like its not getting gas. let me know. any thoughts would be on were to look for the grounding issue.
Grounds and connections are easy, no schematic required really. Anything connected to block, frame or firewall is grounded and needs to be clean and tight. Just cracking them loose and re-tightening is better than nothing. The cables themselves are 25 years old and probably best to replace them. Grind down to bright shiny metal and tighten securely. Weather pak and other connections should be sprayed out with with solvent/contact cleaner and reconnected. Also pay attention to alternator connections and fasteners, the big multi-pin firewall connectors, and connectors underneath engine and transmission, especially ones exposed to road spray and salt etc.
In my case, the positive battery cable was looking rough. Also, You may want to check the light switch connector on the left of the dash. When I took off the dash there was a pile of green oxidation on top of the vent cavity. The plug had melted where the main headlight wire entered the plug. Good luck
