223 Carb Mount Question

I don't have a shop manual parts illustration available and was wondering if lock washers were part of the hardware necessary for mounting the Holley 1904 carb to the manifold? Every now and then I am having to retighten the nuts and thinking of either using lock washers or switching over to lock nuts. Thanks.
