1 bbl carb question

1 bbl carb question
I seem to have a lot of trouble with the 4 screws that hold the carb together on the bottom coming loose all the time, I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem or is it just me? It has happened on more than one of these carbs. I'm about to put a new one of these turds on and am thinking hard about mig welding them so they dont back out.

Yes those screws are a problem, I believe your taking about the Carter YF. Fact of the matter is that isn't the only carb to have the problem. Lock tite will help as will new lock washers. I used another method when all else failed but since it is hard on the threaded pot metal if you have to pull it back apart I'll keep it to myself.
PS by the way one of those screws goes thru the housing, you can get a 12 32
nut and grind the one side away and lock that one down real easy. Done that as well.
