interior help
From the sounds of it it looks like you want to swap the instrument cluster and just the stereo system. The more info you tell us the better the answer you are going to get
Your going to need to have the cluster mileage updated and I believe you need a flash done so your truck would work with the new dash cluster with the info center in it. Does the Lariat have a ford OEM stereo/navigation system? I dont know if the xlt has the connection in the steering wheel for the controls for sync, but you might be able to swap steering wheels/columns because I would assume the Lariat already would have the steering wheel controls.
I think it wouldnt be too hard to do, and I am sure there are fellas here who have done it that might be able to give you more info, but it's definitely doable
What you are trying to do is similar to someone wanting to install power mirrors on a truck that came with manual mirrors.
It can work, but very often does not. Wiring harnesses are common between vehicles regardless of trim level up to a certain point, but key elements are not. For example, the computer that controls Sync has to be present or it's just not going to work.
It is possible that simply swapping the instrument cluster will give you some, or even most, of the functionality of the 2013, but unless you get the computer flashed, I can guarantee not all the functions will work.
IIRC there are companies that specialize in selling upgraded dashes, along with flashed computers. There are also companies that will flash your existing computer. None of that is cheap.
All you can do is give it a try and see what happens. If nothing works, you can always switch back and sell the 2013 hardware to get your money back.
Good luck!
I looked into a upgrade of the instrument cluster on my 2016 XLT to a productivity screen without luck.
From what I've read older Super Duties are able to be upgraded:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...n-success.html
I also looked into upgrading to a Sync 1 GPS Navigation Radio but it was a bit more than I'm willing to spend:

There maybe other options out there and people that know more than I do that can help with your questions.
