2002 7.3 no start

I just replaced the hpop and in doing so I got rid of the stock lines and got aftermarket screw in fittings with the addition of the crossover line. Because I had the hpop off I went ahead and rebuilt the fuel bowl as well and an s&b intake on it. Battery light was on when I went to start it so I got new batteries and new starter and she will not start. There's fuel in the fuel bowl and all oil levels are good. Battery light is still on and voltage is going everywhere even when not cranking and key is just on. I'm lost and outta beyond my knowledge on what to do next. I've tried for last week to get her started but she won't, any ideas?

Bolt probably wasn't tight enough on the gear for the hpop make sure it's torqued to proper specs. Just went through this on a 96 bolt wasn't quite tight enough and backed off when cranking....

Are you saying that even with just key on the battery voltage is fluctuating excessively? If so it sounds like a poor connection somewhere. Does the truck crank?
