I recently purchased a new 2017 f250 stx, it has the 8”synce 3 radio but unfortunately has the annoying 2” display in the gauge cluster. Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to swap for 8” display cluster that come in the lariat? And ifso where can I buy one?? I was told by one person it’s plug and play and another said it’s dueable but takes A lot of reprogramming by ford. I would love to spiff the truck up with that cluster if anyone can help if led appreciate it thanks!
I bought an 8" cluster from LKQ for $165. It was from a wrecked Platinum and had 18 miles on it. I just plugged it in and went on my merry way. Have 10k miles on it now. My mileage was so close I didn't get it flashed with the correct mileage, but LivinItUp can do that for you if you'd like.
My buddy would like to do this as well. Only finding gauge cluster for 6.2L and it doesn't say whether or not it is the bigger cluster. Can you use the 6.2L cluster with the 6.7L or will it not display the correct gauges? Is LivinItUp a forum member here or a business?
So if if could find one I would have to take it to ford so they could make the mileage correct? But other than that It should be plug and play straight forward...
So if if could find one I would have to take it to ford so they could make the mileage correct? But other than that It should be plug and play straight forward... also would one from a v8 f150 work? Wasn’t sure if The boost gauge for the ecoboost would show or not, also would it have a f150 splash screen? Thanks for reply’s!
That's what I thought, we will just have to keep our eyes peeled on LKQ for one to show up. Thanks for the reply!
LKQ has an option on their website where you can sign up to get notifications when certain vehicles arrive at the locations you choose. That might help you find a used cluster.
