Woke up to my d/s door open. Tablet that runs the T.P., phone in center console that I use to run contribution, buzz test..etc(CarGaugePro), sunglasses, phone charger and about 30 bucks in change in console....GONE!....eff'n hate tweekers!
Had our 1992 F-150 broken into one time and didn't catch the guys.
Had our home/garage broken into and I met the at the door with a Kahr 9mm in his face and a Doberman as my backup. Sheriff arrived a short while later and hauled his dumb *** off to jail.
**** happens brother, at least the truck is still there.
I would have grabbed is ID and told him "Now I know where you live... remember that when you get out of jail."
Of course, I'm full of... er... it, because tweakers don't have homes or update the information on their ID... assuming they have an ID. No point in letting him punk me when I own him.
timmyboy76 - sorry you have to go through the hassle.

I made it very clear to him that I was in the military and I knew what the GA gun laws were and I would kill him right where he stood and sleep in my own bed. Of course, I did not want to kill the man, but I would have if he made an attempt at me or my family.
I kept him 10 ft away as he paced and looked for a way off the property while waiting for the Sheriff to arrive. I told him if he ran, I would not shoot him in the back, but that doberman standing in the door would "somehow" get free and I guarantee she runs faster than you.
He has 10 prior break-in charges on his record. Assault on a police officer with a knife and was out on parole when he broke into our garage and then tried to get in the house. The deputy knew exactly who he was when he cuffed and rolled him over. The investigator helped me find the warning shot I fired in the air when I thought he would run anyway and said good night.
The a-hole got 20 years in prison with serving a minimum of 10.
When my wife called 911 and got dispatch they were nonchalant and asked "OK, was there anything taken". My wife said "I don't know, but my husband has a 9mm on him right now". The dispatcher quickly changed tone and said "oh, ummm, hang on!" The nearest deputy was almost 45 minutes away that night since we live in a large county and in the country.
It was a good night all in all, but not the way I intended it going. He broke into the wrong place that day, and he was leaving my house in cuffs or on a stretcher that night.
That bites, timmyboy, sorry to hear of it. Thieves are near the top of my 'least favorite people' list. With the drug problem being what it is we have to lock our vehicles even out in the rural areas, they are onto our lackadaisical ways and need all the change and cell phones they can find to feed their habits.
I changed all my exterior lights to motion activated LED's. That usually helps scatter the roaches, I also set up a IR trail camera that will take pictures should someone decide they want what I worked so hard to get. There's also several um I'll call the "noise makers" in the trees to discourage those that may take a deviated approach to the house. Nothing like a blank 12g round going off to make you question your intentions or resolve.
Chet/bonanza knows, what a *****hole Elsinore is. Truck broken few times. One v time when it was "ill"..(clutch job). Nothing v like kicking a brutha, when their already down. It took the daughters surfboard to finally install cameras. Not a squirrel fary for them lost 2yrs living there. Works good, made a couple bucks on the house so I go to a better living condition and closer to the daughter, only to get slapped upside the melon... Maybe now, the landlord will "accept" useful effin dog/s, not a arm warmer... Yeah, really crappy to unload truck especially this time of year(Xmas lighting) every damn night with 6 darn ladders to stuff around the house
Epic restraint Sous. Granted I have 4 small kids in the house, I doubt I'd be tolerant of any twitch or sneeze.
2 months ago a gang member was running from the police, crashed his car a few miles outside of town and ran into the woods. After running 1 1/2 miles thru the woods he came out in an empty field, next to my parent's pasture. He quickly discovered my parent's electric fence was no joke. His scream brought my parents two 130# Great Pyrenees charging to the fence line to protect the livestock. He decided to go try the neighbors house instead, who had just locked all the doors when their friends called about the police hunt. He tried beating his way thru their doors yelling "let me in" before the cops tackled him. Neighbor's were both waiting on the other side of the door with their handguns ready and aimed in case he got in.

My whole house is surrounded by motion-sensing LEDs... bright suckers. With this, I learned something about our new home - deer like to frolic in the yard at night. OK... cool... but that would dissuade me from using a perimeter alarm.

I agree, I thought the shot shell bang alarms were cool, but we have way too much wildlife around our area. Also, my dogs and possibly the cats would crap themselves if they triggered it.
Since the ******* broke in, we installed several decorative LED motion lights that get the job done quite nicely without making the house look like a prison yard.
I always thought to myself, you have to be a complete ******* to break into a house in GA out in the country and think that everything will work out. Well, I guess it did work out, for us that is.

Absolutely love GA and its gun laws. Stationed here now, and my wife's whole family live here. The state has really grown on me and Ill hopefully be buying aa house here once I'm out. Hopefully near her family so my kids can be close to their cousins and because that part of GA is amazing

Sucks about the truck. Our Nissan has been gone through a couple times and I live on a MILITARY INSTALLATION... we used to keep our car unlocked and night thinking it would be safe on post, but no. We learned and promptly started locking our doors. Thieves will be thieves and all we can do is take preventative measures. And exercise our 2nd amendment right. That also helps
