I just purchased a 2011 F250 super duty FX4.
I didn't know it, until I didn't get, another key upon purchase, that it only had one.
Not only that, but they did not have the keyless entry code, ARG.
I wanted the truck anyway.......
Do I go to a dealer with the VIN number to get another key, and code?
for the keyless entry code, remove the little door on the passenger kick panel.
look inside at the fuse box and you will see a module with a white tag on it with 5 digits on it. that is your keyless entry code.
if you had both keys, you could just turn key to run, remove key and turn to run with second key and it would show the code on the information center.
for the second key, you are going to have to go to ford to have it programmed.
what i do is leave one key in the center console. this way if i leave the keys in it, or loose the keys i can still get in and use the truck.
learned that trick long time ago with the first keypad vehicle.
plus, this way i do not have to carry key ring into stores, doctors office or anywhere else for that matter.
drop the key in the door pocket, and lock it up. when i come out hit the keypad and off i go.
